What is Camey PTA?

Camey PTA is a Parent/Teacher organization that you can join to help make Camey a better place for our children to learn. We work alongside Mrs. Cortez and the rest of the Camey Staff to improve the opportunities that our children have at Camey. We are completely funded by our memberships and fundraisers.

 

Who Can Join PTA?

Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, anyone in the Community. You are not required to volunteer to join PTA, but your membership will help Camey PTA to continue to provide programs for the kids. Volunteering is a bonus and allows you to meet other Camey parents and families.

 

What does the Camey PTA do?

• Helps to fund school field trips ($500 per grade)
• Organizes the Camey bookfairs
• Organizes the BooHoo/YeeHaw breakfast
• Organizes the Camey Carnival
• Provides snacks for STAAR testing & other events
• Orders and Sells Camey T-shirts
• Organizes Holiday Shop
• Organizes Teacher Appreciation Week
• Organizes Room Parents & other volunteers
• Organizes birthday table
• Gives money to the school for items needed
• Organizes Spirit Nights
• Contributes towards Red Ribbon Week
